The never-made film becomes a comic adaptation

Extreme violence, hard sex and horror without limits

In 1987, following the success of the first two movies of the Conan saga.
Dino De Laurentiis commissioned the screenplay for a third movie (the one that you are reading in this comic adaptation) to Luciano Vincenzoni, his historic collaborator who typically prepared the first drafts of films that then went into production for the American market.

To create the story, the Italian writer starts from some stories by Robert Howard:

“The Hour of the Dragon”, “The Children of the Night” and “People in the Darkness”, in order to merge the heroic universe of the Cimmerian with Lovecraft’s settings and cosmic deities.
The cast is chosen and Arnold Schwarzenegger is joined
as co-stars by his fellow Austrian Sybil Danning and Olivia D’Abo, while John Guillermin is considered for the direction.

Conan the barbarian

Unfortunately

the lead actor, who is no longer under contract and is busy with another film, forces De Laurentiis to abandon the project.
The original screenplay by Luciano Vincenzoni on Conan the Destroyer ends up on the shelves of Cinecittà, together with studies by Carlo Rambaldi and Giannetto De Rossi, who had begun to sketch the sketches of the monsters
and the Lovecraftian creatures enviosioned in the story.

After many years

the staff of Closure comics have decided to
dust off this old Vincenzoni script, remaining faithful to Rambaldi’s sketches and create a comic, using the original cast to recreate the Conan the Conqueror never-made film.
It is a comic adaption in perfect 80s style, with content prohibited for children under 18, inspired by underground works such as Heavy Metal or Ralph Bakshi’s productions.
No censorship, no woke culture, no politically correctness, no mainstream, no Disney, Marvel and DC type stuff.

Shortstory of Conan the Conqueror

THE WORLD OF ROBERT E. HOWARD MEETS THE UNIVERSE OF H.P. LOVECRAFT.

Conan travels the lost lands of the continent of Ooth-Nargal, crossing the desert of Leng, trying to reach the primordial city of Sarkomand, where they say there is the Shining Trapezohedron, kept in a monastery and guarded by the “High Priest Who Must Not Be Described “.

In this epic adventure, our Cimmerian will have countless encounters and will face all the Lovecraftian cosmological deities, from Shub-Niggurath to Hastur, from Dagon to the Great Cthulhu, with a single objective: to come into possession of this ovoid stone,
which is a window onto Time and Space, capable of canceling death.

Conan, although he can live longer than his peers due to his prodigious nature, knows that time is passing for him too and that only the Trapezohedron can give him immortality.
On this journey to the Great Abyss, he decides to take with him,
besides his sword (perhaps the only weapon capable of intimidating Azathoth)
a weapon to be kept imprisoned in chains and to be released only in case of extreme need, because this weapon is called RED SONYA.
